During the early signing period (December 4-6, 2024), Tulane football signed 15 high school recruits, for the class of 2025. Of those, there are 6 defenders, 8 offensive players, and 1 "athlete." Today we will take a look at those set to play offense, and which ones have been expected to enroll early, and therefore participate in spring practices. Please note that we will discuss these signees in alphabetic order.
Juelz Baptiste, a 6'4", 270 pound offensive tackle from St. Augustine in New Orleans. Baptiste ended up choosing Tulane over other offers from UTSA and Alabama State. He is ranked as a 3-star member of the 2025 class by 247. Baptiste is 247's 72nd ranked ofensive tackle and the 32nd best player in the State of Louisiana, in his class. Tulane was on him, early, and after committing to the Green Wave in June of 2024, he did not waver when UTSA offered several months later, in September. Baptiste will graduate from St. Aug in the spring, and therefore will not practice with the team until August.
Jay Beamon, a 6'2, 205 pound quarterback from Cleveland Central, in Cleveland, Mississippi. Beamon held additional offers from Louisiana-Lafayette, Boston College, and Arkansas State, most notably. He is ranked as a 3-star member of the 2025 class by 247, and the 36th highest ranked player in the state of Mississippi, within that class. Like Baptiste, Beamon committed to the Green Wave over the summer of 2024 and did not waver, throughout the fall. He is also expected to graduate from high school this spring and head Uptown, thereafter.
Javin Gordon, a 5'10", 200 pound running back from Stephens County in Toccoa, Georgia. Gordon was committed to Duke from June of 2024 until the week prior to Thanksgiving. Those that were subscribed to this site in August were well aware that even then, while he was a Blue Devil commit, Tulane was after him hard and were confident that he would eventually find his way to enrolling, here. Besides Tulane and Duke, Gordon had offers from Wisconsin, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Liberty, Georgia Tech, Northwestern (B1G), Appalachian State, Western Kentucky, Troy, USF, and Coastal Carolina, among others, still. Gordon was rated as a 3-star member of the class of 2025, and is 247's 77th highest-ranked running back and 120th highest-ranked member of the class, from the state of Georgia. Gordon has enrolled at Tulane, early, and will participate in spring practices.
Gabe Lovorn, a 6'4", 225 pound tight end from South Gibson in Medina, Tennessee, chose Tulane over Ole Miss, Memphis, Troy, Arkansas State, Georgia Southern, and Marshall, among others. Lovorn committed to the Green Wave in the days between Tulane's drubbings of USF and UAB, as the calendar turned from September to October, and did not decommit or waver, thereafter. He is a 3-star player in 247's system, and was ranked by them as the 60th best player in his class from the state of Tennessee. He is also expected to graduate from high school this spring and enroll at Tulane, thereafter.
Oliver Mitchell, Jr., a 6'1", 175 pound receiver from Edna Karr in New Orleans. Mitchell passed on offers from Marshall, Louisiana-Lafayette, Troy, Louisiana Tech, UAB, Louisiana-Monroe, and Arkansas State. He too was a 3-star player in 247's system, and was ranked by them as the 48th best player in his class from the state of Louisiana. Mitchell committed to Tulane in June of 2024 and did not look back. He has enrolled at Tulane, early, and will participate in spring practices.
Antwaun Parham, a 6'3, 195 pound receiver from Monarch, in Pompano Beach, Florida. Parham turned down Notre Dame, NC State, Coastal Carolina, and Western Michigan, among others, on his journey to Tulane. Notably, he committed to Tulane on June 15, 2024, immediately following his official visit. Despite receiving the Notre Dame offer on November 1, 2024 and the NC State offer on November 19, 2024, he never decommitted from the Green Wave and signed on December 4, 2024. According to 247, he is a 3-star recruit, and was their 96th highest-ranked player in the state of Florida, for the class of 2025. He has enrolled at Tulane, early, and will participate in spring practices.
Gresham Perry, a 6'4", 300 pound interior offensive lineman from Teurlings Catholic in Lafayette, Louisiana. Perry chose Tulane over Colorado State, but is highly thought of by Evan McKissack. He is a 3-star player in 247's system and was rated as the number 55 player in the state of Louisiana, this year. He is also expected to graduate from high school this spring and enroll at Tulane, thereafter.
Cameron Roberts, Jr., a 6'4", 215 pound tight end from St. Thomas Aquinas, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Roberts held offers from Indiana, Marshall, Western Kentucky, Temple, Western Michigan, Florida Atlantic, Florida International and Bowling Green, among others. According to 247, he is a 3-star recruit, and was their 64th highest-ranked tight end and 143rd highest-ranked player from Florida, both within the class of 2025. Like so many others in this group, Roberts committed to Tulane in the summer of 2024 (June 12) and did not decommit or waver, thereafter. He is also expected to graduate from high school this spring and then enroll Uptown.
